Honor Flight Chicago will send Honor Flight #63 to Washington DC on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. An early morning departure from Midway Airport begins a day of remembrance and reminiscing for these veterans who have waited over sixty years to see their World War II Memorial. In addition to seeing the long awaited World War II Memorial, we plan to show these deserving veterans the Lincoln, Korean, and Vietnam Memorial and, as time permits, the Air & Space Museum. How does this help our Earth? Our goal is to send groups of WWII & Korean War veterans to see the Memorials dedicated to our veterans. To let them know we are thankful for their sacrifices that have kept the United States a Free, Democratic Nation. It reminds us of who we are, what we stand for, and what we can accomplish when we work together.

July 8, 2014 – DVF is Presented with $1250 Check from Local Youth Baseball Team

DuPage County Board Member Jim Zay presented three checks totaling $1250 from his sons’ little league team, himself and the Knights of Columbus to the DuPage Veterans Foundation. Steven Fixler, Superintendent of the Veterans Assistance Commission for DuPage County and Committee Member of the DuPage Veterans Foundation, was on hand at July 8th DuPage County Board Meeting to accept the donation on behalf of the Foundation.  Some of the proud “little leaguers” were there with the assist!
